So, November is almost over, and I've just about finished my NaNoWriMo entry. (It's an original novel/series which I have been working on for several years and hope to someday get published, so I won't be posting it here.)
Now I'm thinking about the new year in writing. I've left off with my two series, Bakemono-chibi and Never a Happy Ending, for quite some time now - I stopped because the continuation of both will depend in part on the ending of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime, and I hadn't watched it at that point. Now that I have watched it, I'd like to get started again with both of those. I have also gotten interested in a number of (mostly obscure) manga, which I love immensely and will probably be one-shot fanficcing at random. Anime-wise I can't find much inspiration (other than the Fullmetal Alchemist plotbunnies which are always eating my brain), and my television/movie interests are currently restricted to The 4400, Firefly, Stargate SG-1, Law and Order: CI (which I will never even consider writing for), CSI: New York, and NUMB3RS, all of which I hardly ever get to watch. So I guess that, unless I get some help, I'll be writing mostly D. Gray-man and Fullmetal Alchemist again this year.
If anyone has suggestions for a series, especially manga, that they like and would really enjoy seeing fanficced, please leave a comment. I'll try to look into the series, and if I like it you can be pretty sure I'll want to write for it. I don't like sappy romance and I generally don't take to lots of so-called 'fan-service' (though a little is okay, and if it has a good enough storyline or really great characters, I can sometimes overlook even lots). Otherwise, anything goes. I have extremely varied tastes. Extra points if it has something to do with family relationships, i.e. Aka-chan to Boku, Fullmetal Alchemist, Family Complex, Yamada Tarou Monogatari, a bunch of other bitsy fandoms which nobody but me and some readers in Japan are part of...
And if nobody answers, I'll just stick to Fullmetal Alchemist and D. Gray-man :)
